The White Hag Samhain Pumpkin Ale (440ml / 6.2%)

Samhain is the traditional Irish celebration of the harvest, in this instance the harvest of a relatively new phenomena to these parts – pumpkin! The history of pumpkin ales goes all the way back to the early colonial Americas. Even the great George Washington made pumpkin ale. The modern versions of these ales are more akin to liquid Pumpkin Pie – a classic American dessert served during Thanksgiving – than the ales of the early American settlers.

Reminiscent of a sweet, liquid pumpkin pie, with hints of cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger and biscuit base. A burnt orange appearance, and a spicy aroma, this is a beer for the senses.
